Webinar on ‘Encouraging Green Skills for Youth towards Sustainable Development’

Within the framework of the Vocational Education and Training Programme for the Member Countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-VET) and in line with the OIC-TVET Strategic Roadmap 2020-2025, SESRIC, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye, the Islamic Community Youth Forum (ICYF), and the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation, organised a webinar on "Encouraging Green Skills for Youth towards Sustainable Development" on 13 March 2025.

The event brought together 87 experts, executives, and researchers from 25 OIC countries to reassess the importance of green skills, explore current challenges, and highlight good practices within member countries. It primarily facilitated discussions on strategies for integrating green skills into education and training systems, contributing to a more sustainable future.

The webinar covered the following key topics:

  • Concept and Scope of Green Skills
  • Strategies for Incorporating Green Skills into National Curricula
  • Strategies for Developing Green Skills and Expanding Green Jobs
  • Case Studies and Best Practices from OIC Member Countries
