Within the framework of its Cotton Capacity Building Programme (Cotton-CaB), SESRIC organised an online Training Course on “Sustainable Cotton Production in OIC Countries: Strengthening Farmer Resilience and Economic Growth” on 11-12 March 2025.

The objective of this training course was to explore innovative approaches to achieve sustainable cotton production, focusing on integrating the latest farming practices, enhancing farmer resilience to environmental stresses, and fostering market-based strategies that drove economic growth for cotton-producing OIC countries.

The training course was provided by competent experts from the University of Punjab in Pakistan for the benefit of 106 cotton experts from the Ministries of Agriculture and relevant Cotton Research Institutions in the 22 OIC countries.
