Within the framework of its Transportation Capacity Building Programme (Transport_CaB), SESRIC successfully organized a webinar on “Developing Sustainable Transportation Strategies for Addressing Climate Change” on 18 December 2024.

The webinar featured distinguished speakers from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye, as well as the Ministry of Housing, Land, and Urban Development of the Maldives. It was attended by 41 experts and executives from relevant national ministries and institutions representing 19 OIC Member Countries.

The webinar provided an opportunity to discuss strategic policymaking, as well as the challenges and opportunities related to developing sustainable transportation strategies to address climate change. Furthermore, it aimed to foster knowledge and expertise exchange through presentations delivered by prominent speakers from the relevant ministries of Türkiye and the Maldives.
