H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK engaged in bilateral discussions with H.E. Sayasat NURBEK, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, on the sidelines of the UN-OIC General Meeting on Cooperation on 22-24 July 2024 in Astana.

The meeting focused on exploring avenues to enhance cooperation, particularly in the areas of science, technology, innovation, and higher education. H.E. NURBEK highlighted Kazakhstan’s robust higher education system, known for its international and regional collaborations that attract foreign students for Master's, Ph.D., and postgraduate studies.

H.E. SELÇUK commended Kazakhstan’s Bolashak International Scholarship Programme, which offers scholarship opportunities to various beneficiary groups. She emphasized the potential for joint initiatives that can further strengthen the educational and scientific ties between SESRIC and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.

Both dignitaries agreed to further the cooperation and explore new opportunities for collaborative efforts in the fields of science, technology, and higher education.
