Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC will organise a Training Course on “Price Statistics” for the benefit of the National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of OIC countries on 13-14 August 2024 through an online video conferencing platform.

Ms. Riannie INDRAWATI, Ms. Leli LATIFAH, Ms. Zaradia PERMATASARI, Mr. Daniel JULFRADO, Ms. Erma PURNATIKA, Mr. Dominikus FENDHI, and Ms. Chindy SAKTIAS, statisticians from BPS-Statistics Indonesia, will conduct the training course. The course will cover the following topics:

• Compilation of CPI in Indonesia
• Source of Weights and Basket Commodity of CPI
• Modernization of CPI Data Collection
• Compilation of PPI in Indonesia & PPI Development

The StatCaB Programme was initiated in early 2007 as the flagship capacity development programme of SESRIC. Within the framework of the StatCaB Programme, the Centre collects information from the NSOs of OIC member countries through the biennial StatCaB Questionnaire, assesses their statistical training needs and capacities, matches these needs and capacities, and organises statistical capacity development activities between the beneficiary and provider countries.
