SESRIC Held Collaboration Meeting with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of Indonesia

SESRIC held a meeting with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia to explore potential cooperation, particularly in the areas of cooperatives and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

During the meeting, the representative of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of Indonesia highlighted the potential for fostering entrepreneurship, sustainable business innovation, investment, and economic growth in OIC countries. She also provided a comprehensive overview of cooperatives, SMEs, and the current situation of entrepreneurship in Indonesia.

SESRIC presented an overview of its mandates and activities, including the Training and Technical Cooperation Department’s 23 capacity building programmes, as well as the Vocational Education and Training Programme for the Member Countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-VET), the OIC Occupational Safety and Health Network (OIC-OSHNET), and the OIC Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET).

Additionally, they discussed potential collaboration on upcoming activities and the possibility of signing an MoU to foster cooperation and mutual benefit.

Both parties will continue exploring innovative ways to leverage their respective efforts for the advancement of SMEs, MSMEs, and cooperatives in OIC countries.
