Training Course on ‘Navigating Complex Employment Challenges for Public Service Providers’

SESRIC organised a Training Course on “Navigating Complex Employment Challenges for Public Service Providers” on 22-23 October 2024 through an online video conferencing platform, as part of its Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES-CaB).

The training was provided by experts from the Malaysian Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) for the benefit of 58 experts from relevant ministries and national public employment institutions of 21 OIC countries.

The main objective of the training was to equip public service providers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage and address complex employment challenges. Participants learned how to navigate legal frameworks, implement best practices in human resources, resolve conflicts, and develop strategies for nurturing a productive and inclusive workplace environment.

The two-day training covered the following topics:

  • Addressing Labour Shortages in Key Industries Through Effective Management of Foreign Workers
  • Bridging the Gap Between Education and Employment: Aligning Skills from School to the Workplace
  • Addressing Labour Migration Challenges from Rural Areas to Major Cities: Current Initiatives with Local Partners and Relevant Ministries
  • Incomplete Employment Data Results in Unmatched Supply and Demand: Exploring Operational Solutions
