Training of Trainers (ToT) Course on ‘Cyber Security’

Within the framework of the Vocational Education and Training Programme for the Member Countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-VET) and in line with the OIC-TVET Strategic Roadmap 2020-2025, SESRIC organised a Training of Trainers (ToT) Course on “Cyber Security” on 18-19 September 2024 through an online video conferencing platform.

The course was provided by competent experts from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) for the benefit of 94 TVET teachers from the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) authorities and relevant national institutions of 21 OIC countries.

The Training of Trainers (ToT) course aimed to equip TVET teachers with comprehensive knowledge and practical expertise in cyber security, enabling them to effectively instruct and prepare students in this important subject. It also sought to provide participants with the tools they need to effectively train the next generation of cyber security professionals.

The two-day course covered the following topics:

  • Introduction to Cyber Security
  • Basic of Security and Cyber Security Principles
  • Risk and Vulnerabilities
  • Hacking and Ethical Hacking
  • Cyber Security and Ethics
  • Cyber Security and Constructive Alignment in Training
