Within the framework of its Agriculture and Food Security Capacity Building Programme (Agri-CaB) and Digital Capacity Building Programme (Digi-CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration with the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), will organise a Webinar on “Digitalisation in Food Security and Agriculture” on 9 July 2024.

The webinar aims to enhance the understanding of OIC countries about the importance of digitalisation in agriculture and food security. The strategies, best practices, as well as challenges and opportunities of digitalisation in the agricultural sector, will be explored throughout the webinar. The event is open to representatives from ministries and government agencies / institutions and relevant stakeholders in OIC countries responsible for addressing food security, digital agriculture, and agricultural sector.

Key topics to be covered in the webinar:

• Introduction to Digitalisation in Agriculture;
• Use of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics for Food Security Agricultural Development;
• Integration Strategies of Digitalisation in the Agriculture; and
• Digital Farm Registry Platform. Use of Spatial Management System for Agriculture
