SESRIC Facilitates Collaboration Meeting Between Azerbaijan and Indonesia to Explore Key Labour Issues

SESRIC facilitated a meeting between the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, recognizing the mutual benefits of exploring collaboration on key labour issues.

The discussions focused on exchanging experiences and best practices in developing a wage system, implementing productivity-based wages, achieving pay equity, ensuring occupational safety and health, and promoting mental well-being in workplaces. Both parties shared valuable insights into formulating and implementing effective mechanisms in these crucial areas.

Emphasizing the significance of knowledge exchange, the meeting concluded with Azerbaijan planning a study visit to Indonesia in 2024. This visit aims to provide technical training on the identified topics, fostering continued collaboration and improvement in these critical areas.

The meeting determines both countries’ commitment to continuously enhance labour practices for effective cooperation and sustainable development.
