SESRIC held a virtual meeting with the Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Security (DOST) of the Republic of Azerbaijan to explore collaboration in statistics, economic and social research, and training programmes.

The Azerbaijani delegation was led by His Excellency Mr. Farid MAMMADOV, Chairperson of the DOST Agency Board, accompanied by Mr. Azer ALIYEV, Deputy Chairperson, and a team of relevant Directors. Representing SESRIC were Dr. Atilla KARAMAN, Chief of Cabinet, along with Technical Directors and relevant staff.

The DOST team presented their ongoing projects and initiatives in social development and social security, providing a comprehensive overview of their work and its impact. Discussions also covered current trends and best practices in statistical analysis, social research, and training activities. Both parties emphasized the critical need for ongoing enhancement in these areas to ensure the effective design and administration of social policies. The meeting also explored new areas where SESRIC and DOST’s expertise could be expanded for mutual benefit.
