H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Amb. Yusron Bahauddin AMBARY, Permanent Representative of Indonesia to the OIC, in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities to expand cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.

During the discussions, H.E. SELÇUK mentioned about the activities of SESRIC within its mandated areas of statistics, research, and training and technical cooperation. She highlighted that Indonesian national institutions have benefited from more than 160 capacity building activities organised by SESRIC. SESRIC has closely collaborated with several Indonesian institutions, including Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, BPS-Statistics Indonesia, Bank Indonesia, and many others. H.E. SELÇUK emphasized the importance of maintaining and further strengthening this cooperation.

On the other hand, H.E. Amb. Yusron Bahauddin AMBARY expressed his gratitude to SESRIC for its efforts in organising capacity building activities for Indonesian national institutions. He noted that the activities significantly enhance the capacities of relevant staff. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of Indonesia’s support for SESRIC’s activities and the need to strengthen ties between Indonesia and SESRIC.

The meeting concluded with both parties eagerness to collaborate on joint initiatives aimed at advancing shared objectives, specifically in capacity building, technical cooperation, and socioeconomic development.
