Within the framework of its Central Banks Capacity Building Programme (CB-CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration the COMCEC Coordination Office (CCO) and Bank Indonesia (BI), organised a Training Course on “Halal Value Chain” through an online video conferencing platform.

The training course was provided by competent experts from Bank Indonesia and other Indonesian industry players, as well as a country experience of Jordan, for the benefit of 108 experts and executives from Central Banks and relevant national institutions in 30 OIC countries.

The following topics were covered during the two days of the training:

• The Concept of Halal Value Chain and Indonesia's Halal Value Chain Ecosystem;
• The Role of Digitalization in accelerating Halal Value Chain Ecosystem;
• Opportunity Created by Government for Halal Value Chain Ecosystem/Industry;
• Jordanian Experience on Halal Food;
• Optimising The Role of Islamic Commercial Finance in Halal Value Chain Ecosystem/Industry;
• Optimising The Role of Islamic Social Finance in Halal Value Chain Ecosystem/Industry; and
• Supply Chain Financing for SMEs Entering Modern Retail.
