H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK engaged in a bilateral meeting with H.E. Noni Zurainah binti Haji ISMI, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Türkiye, to strengthen cooperation between SESRIC and relevant national institutions and stakeholders in Brunei.

During the meeting, H.E. SELÇUK underlined that SESRIC currently offers more than 20 sector-specific capacity development programmes, covering areas such as agriculture, tourism, transport, health, and statistics. Additionally, SESRIC is set to launch new capacity building programmes soon.

Since the initiation of these capacity development programmes, 500 experts from Brunei’s ministries, agencies, Department of Economic Planning and Statistics, and other relevant national institutions have benefitted from 75 activities organised by SESRIC.

On her part, H.E. ISMI expressed her appreciation for the valuable contributions of SESRIC’s capacity development programmes and highlighted the importance of further strengthening cooperation between SESRIC and relevant national institutions and stakeholders in Brunei. She mentioned that future capacity building initiatives of SESRIC will pave the way for new areas of collaboration that could benefit Brunei.

The meeting concluded with both sides renewing their commitment to strengthening cooperation between SESRIC and Brunei, paving the way for mutual growth and development in the socio-economic landscape.
