H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, Director General of SESRIC, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mrs. Bineta DIOP, Special Envoy at the African Union (AU) office on the sidelines of the 68^th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) in New York. The meeting aimed at enhancing collaboration between SESRIC and the AU in advancing women's empowerment across diverse sectors.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on various topics, including agribusiness, finance and education. They highlighted key factors that are crucial to women's socio-economic advancement.

The discussion underscored the importance of leveraging synergies and forging partnerships to tackle the systemic barriers that impede women's full participation and leadership in these crucial areas.

The meeting concluded with both representatives expressing their willingness to initiate cooperation linkages between SESRIC and AU and take concrete steps in advancing women's empowerment and promoting inclusive development across Africa and beyond.
