SESRIC attended the Meeting of the Interim Governing Body of the International Forum on TOSSD (IFT), which was held on 20 and 22 February 2024, virtually hosted by OECD from Paris. The meeting brought together members of the Forum to review the transition process into the International Forum on TOSSD (IFT), elaborating on the workplan communications and outreach outcomes, insights and revisions in the recipient profiles and TOSSD statistical standard and methodology among others.

Starting from its membership since the foundation in the TOSDD task force, SESRIC shared its readiness to support the work of the Forum paving the way for strengthening the capacities of the member countries to analyse better the official development assistance and explore new avenues for golabal partnerships.

The IFT promotes and supports the effective global implementation of “Total Official Support for Sustainable Development”, an international statistical standard on financing for sustainable development in support of developing countries.

The membership of SESRIC in the Forum underlines its commitment to improving the statistical capacities of the OIC member countries in monitoring official development assistance and South-South cooperation within the framework of sustainable development goals.
