Webinar on ‘Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Systems during the Pandemic: The Impact and Response’

Within the framework of the OIC Occupational Safety and Health Network (OIC-OSHNET) and in collaboration with the Directorate General of Occupational Safety and Health (DGOSH) of Turkey, SESRIC organized a Webinar on “Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Systems during the Pandemic: The Impact and Response”. During the Webinar, high-level representatives of the national OSH authorities from different regions of the OIC shared and exchanged the OSH experiences and practices that their respective countries have adopted during the Pandemic. The presentations which have been made during the Webinar and the discussions which followed the presentations focused on sharing the impacts of the pandemic on OSH systems, the best practices and lessons learned. The webinar highlighted the vital role of OSH systems in supporting the national emergency response policies and the importance of the revised guidelines in mitigating the negative effects of the crisis. The Webinar facilitated information exchange between experts and professionals in the field of occupational safety and health with a view to strengthening partnerships and promoting solidarity among the national OSH authorities of the OIC member countries.
