Project purpose:

The main objective of the project was the organisation of a statistical training workshop to introduce the FAO's Food Balance Sheets (FBS) methodology, newly developed FBS modules and imputation methodologies, country compilation tool, and drafting a work plan for the national compilation of the finalized FBS templates specifying the methodological, technical and organisational details, including list of commodities, data sources, and compilation and imputation methods. The Workshop was attended by statisticians from NSOs and Ministries of Agriculture as well as trainers from FAO. After the finalization of the statistical training, an evaluation report was submitted to the relevant COMCEC Fora.
