OIC Labour Market Report 2023 - Implications of Rising Digitalization and Automation on Employment

SESRIC launched the OIC Labour Market Report 2023 during the 5th Islamic Conference of Labour Ministers, which was held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan during 21-23 November 2023. The report analyses the state of labour market and discuss some important aspects of labour market policy and developments in OIC countries. The report also provides a brief assessment on the progress made towards the implementation of the OIC Labour Market Strategy 2025 based on key performance indicators and survey responses.

SWOT Outlook on OIC Member Countries 2023

SESRIC launched the “Prospects and Challenges of OIC Member Countries: SWOT Outlook 2023” during the 12^th Session of the OIC-StatCom in a hybrid format in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with warm welcoming of General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It provides quick facts across multiple socio-economic areas to shed light on the performance and potentials of OIC countries as a group based on the most recent available data. The 2023 edition has been enriched with new indicators.

OIC Environment Report 2023: Resilient Recovery for a Sustainable Environment

SESRIC launched the “OIC Environment Report 2023: Resilient Recovery for a Sustainable Environment” during the 9th Session of the Conference of Environment Ministers in the Islamic World, which was held in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on 19 October 2023. The report examines the current state of the environment and its management in OIC member countries by using the most recent data available on major relevant indicators. This edition of the report also highlights OIC member countries’ progress towards meeting the targets on environment-related sustainable development goals (SDGs) and Paris Agreement commitments.

Agricultural Production and Trade: Complementarities among OIC Member Countries

Upon the request by the 8^th Ministerial Conference on Food Security and Agricultural Development (MCFSAD), SESRIC and the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) jointly prepared an analytical study to identify complementarities among the OIC Member States in the domains of agricultural resources, food production and trade. The report, titled “Agricultural Production and Trade: Complementarities among OIC Member Countries”, was presented during the 9^th MCFSAD, held in Doha, Qatar during 1-2 October 2023.

The 2023 edition of the report on “Agriculture and Food Security in OIC Member Countries” was launched by SESRIC during the Ninth Session of the Ministerial Conference on Food Security and Agriculture Development, which was held on 1-2 October 2023 in Doha, Qatar. The report, published under the theme of “Enhancing Resilience of Agricultural and Food Systems”, aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the current state of agriculture and food security in OIC countries, with a specific focus on enhancing the resilience of agricultural and food systems.
