H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK delivered opening remarks at a ceremony organised by SESRIC to commemorate Dakar’s designation as the OIC City of Tourism 2025. She congratulated the Republic of Senegal and described the designation as recognition of the country’s cultural wealth and a call to action for stakeholders.

The ceremony was followed by the workshop “Enhancing Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in Gastronomy Tourism in Senegal”, held on 1–3 September 2025 under the SESRIC project “Promoting Gastronomy Tourism for Destination Senegal”, funded by COMCEC.
