Webinar on ’Data Visualization Techniques for Communicating Sustainability Insights’

Within the framework of its Statistical Experience Sharing Webinar Series and on the sidelies of the Doha Data Forum, SESRIC, in collaboration with the National Planning Council (NPC) of Qatar, will organize a webinar titled “Data Visualization Techniques for Communicating Sustainability Insights”. This event, scheduled for 3 October 2024, will be conducted via an online video conferencing platform.

This webinar aims to equip participants from the National Statistical Offices (NSOs), relevant Ministries, and national authorities of the OIC member countries with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively visualize and communicate sustainability data, thereby enhancing their ability to support sustainable development initiatives.

The webinar will cover the following topics:

  • Importance of Data Visualization in SDGs Reporting
  • Tools and Techniques
  • Effective Communication of SDGs Indicators
  • Key Principles and Best Practices

In response to the resolution adopted during the 9th Session of the OIC Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom) held virtually from 28 September to 1 October 2020, which emphasized the importance of sharing experiences and best practices among OIC-StatCom members, SESRIC has undertaken the initiative to foster knowledge exchange to aid in the generation of high-quality data. As the Secretariat of OIC-StatCom, SESRIC launched the Statistical Experience Sharing Webinar Series, providing a platform for National Statistics Offices (NSOs) of OIC countries and statistical units of pertinent international agencies to share their insights on statistical topics of shared interest.
