Since the early 2000s, the OIC Member States have shown a growing interest in the contribution of social protection policies to human development, in large part due to the impetus of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the Post-2015 UN Development Agenda. In this context, SESRIC developed the Capacity Building Programme for Social Security Institutions (SSI-CaB) in November 2014 in order to enhance institutional and human capacities in the OIC Member States in this important domain. The Programme aims to play an active role in facilitating knowledge exchange, sharing of experience and best practices among the Social Security Institutions of the OIC Member States.

SESRIC urges all national social security institutions in the OIC Member States to participate in the Capacity Building Programme for Social Security Institutions (SSI-CaB). The valuable participation of the national institutions will help SESRIC to effectively plan and implement capacity building training activities, which will play an important role in the improvement of human capital in the OIC Member States.
