SESRIC organised a Statistics Course on ‘Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Statistics’ on 11-12 April 2019 at the State Statistical Committee (SSC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of OIC Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme.

Mr. Irfan Uuzunpınar, an expert at the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), conducted the course, with the participation of relevant officials of the SSC of Azerbaijan.

The Course included discussion activities with a focus on the following topics:

• Agricultural Statistics in TurkStat;
• Overview of Agriculture Production Statistics and Fishery Statistics;
• Implementation of Marine Fishery Surveys;
• Caught Fresh-Water Products including its Analysis;
• Aquaculture Production; and
• Landing Statistics
