Technical Mission on ‘Sustainable Development Statistics’ in Tajikistan

Within the framework of the OIC Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Technical Mission on ‘Sustainable Development Statistics’ on 24-26 December 2018 at the Agency on Statistics under President of the Republic of Tajikistan, which is the central statistical office of the country.

The Technical Mission was conducted by Mr. Arif Ibishov, Deputy Head of Department at the State Statistical Committee (SSC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the participation of relevant officials of the Agency on Statistics under President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Technical Mission included discussion activities with a focus on the following topics:

  • Experiences from MDGs,
  • Transition from MDGs to SDGs,
  • Sustainable development indicators prior to SDGs,
  • Readiness for implementation of SDGs,
  • National monitoring mechanism of SDGs,
  • Mechanisms of collaboration with stakeholders,
  • International cooperation’s, and
  • Main challenges we face.
