SESRIC organised a Statistics Course on ‘Infographics’ on 21-23 January 2019 at the Department of Economic Planning and Development (JPKE) of Brunei within the framework of OIC Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme.

The Statistics Course was conducted by Mr. Zulhan Rudyansyah, Head of Section Standardization and Publication Design, and Mr. Oki Heryanto, Staff of Section Standardization and Publication Design, BPS-Statistics Indonesia, with the participation of 30 officials of the JPKE and Ministry of Health of Brunei.

The Course included discussion activities with a focus on the following topics:

• Introduction to Infographics;
• How to Design Infographics;
• Interesting Data or Information;
• Visually Appealing Story;
• The Do’s and Don’ts of Infographics Making;
• The Do’s and Don’ts of Chart Making;
• Mistakes of Infographics Design; and
• Introduction of Infographic Software Maker.
