Training Course on ‘Eurotrace Software’ in Bahrain

In accordance with its 2016 Annual Work Plan and within the framework of Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised the Training Course on ‘Eurotrace Software’ at Information and eGovernment Authority of Kingdom of Bahrain on 23-27 October 2016.

The training course was conducted by Mr. Mohamed Abdel Karim Elhag TOTO, Director of Foreign Trade Statistics Directorate of General Bureau of Statistics (CBS) of Republic of Sudan with the participation of relevant officials of the Information and eGovernment Authority of Bahrain.

Eurotrace software is an application assists collection, compilation and dissemination of external trade data at national and regional level. Eurotrace Editor, data editor and Eurotrace DMBS, data base management system are the main components of the Eurotrace software.

The Training Course on ‘Eurotrace Software’ included discussion activities with a focus on the following topics:

  • Overview of Recent Developments and the Software Suite
  • Installation of Eurotrace Software
  • Creation of a domain – MS Access Platform
  • Creation and Management of Dictionaries and Relations
  • Creation and management of Datasets
  • Validation rules
  • Creation of Eurotrace Editor Form
  • Dataset Scopes
  • Definition of Derived Datasets
  • Viewing and managing data with Comext Browser
