The Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) and State Statistical Committee (SSC) of Republic of Azerbaijan agreed on a partnership to facilitate collaboration and cooperation between both institutions within the framework of the project titled “Integration of the ‘Tobacco Questions for Surveys (TQS)’ into the National Surveys in OIC Member States”.

Throughout the implementation period, SSC of Republic of Azerbaijan will incorporate the TQS into the Azerbaijan Household Budget Survey, to harmonize and standardize the monitoring of key tobacco control indicators for evidence-based policy making and promote sustainability through frequent collection of the tobacco use data.
