Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) organised, in collaboration with the National Development Planning Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BAPPENAS), a training course on “Poverty Alleviation Strategies” within the framework of the OIC Poverty Alleviation Programme (OIC-PAP) on 15-16 May 2013 in Ankara, Turkey. The course was provided by Dr Maliki, Deputy Director of Poverty Alleviation Programme Department and was attended by several experts from the Ministry of Family and Social Policies of Republic of Turkey.

The training course on “Poverty Alleviation Strategies” mainly covered the following subjects:

• Regional Poverty Reduction Policies
• Project Impact and Analysis
• Participatory Methodologies in Development
• Sectorial Networking
