SESRIC and International Anatolian Health Federation (USAF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to Facilitate Collaboration on IbnSina Health Capacity Building Programme (IbnSina-HCaB)

SESRIC and International Anatolian Health Federation (USAF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop an institutional collaboration for IbnSina Health Capacity Building Programme on 10 December 2012 at the new headquarters of SESRIC. The objective of the MoU is to foster a stronger relationship between the two parties p for the improvement of training courses on health related issues. The MoU is also intended to provide health professionals and personnel with comprehensive training programmes particularly in the fields of diabetes, hypertension and pregnancy care ultrasonography.

The MoU was signed by USAF’s Chairman, Assoc. Prof. Tuncay Delibaşı and SESRIC’s Director of Training and Technical Cooperation Department, Hüseyin Hakan Eryetli, with both talking explicitly about the mutual goal to improve health conditions in Islamic Countries.

“Healthcare is a key burning issue in OIC Member Countries and through the commitments of the two institutions at this signing ceremony today, we will be successfully able to support health professionals, policy makers and personnel for the development and progress of health situation in their countries”, said Huseyin Hakan Eryetli, Director of Training and Technical Cooperation Department.

Assoc. Prof. Tuncay Delibaşı, USAF’s Chairman said, “We have seen promising beginnings of collaborative action today. This commitment needs to be turned into an action to turn the undesirable health situation in Islamic countries. With our qualified members, we are ready to provide all kind of efforts and services to enhance OIC Member Countries’ capabilities in the field of health and health management.”

The MoU would facilitate cooperation between two institutions to further increase the quantity, quality and scope of the health trainings implemented under the framework of IbnSina Programme for Health Capacity Building (IbnSina-HCaB). It will correspondingly enable two institutions to develop and implement more comprehensive projects in coherence with the needs of the health institutions of the OIC Member Countries.

In the operationalization of the MoU, SESRIC and USAF will be undertaking the implementation of joint trainings and projects, in collaboration with other international and regional organizations, for OIC Member Countries. They will also focus on the training of health professionals and healthcare staff working in health institutions.
