SESRIC participated in Cairo Water Week, held under the theme “Water as a Catalyst for Peace, Shared Prosperity, and a Sustainable Planet”. The event was organised by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Egypt, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the European Union (EU), under the auspices of H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

As part of its participation, SESRIC hosted a dedicated stand at the event, showcasing its reports, publications, and activities in support of OIC Member Countries in the fields of water, climate change, and the environment. The stand highlighted the Centre’s contributions to research, capacity building, and the exchange of knowledge and experiences among OIC Member Countries.

During the event, SESRIC had the honour of welcoming several high-level visitors to its stand, including ministers and former ministers responsible for water affairs in OIC Member Countries, as well as senior officials, experts, and other participants.
