H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Tahir Yagub BUDAGOV, Chairman of the State Statistical Committee (SSC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on 9 October 2024.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening the ongoing cooperation between SESRIC and the SSC in the fields of statistical research, analysis, and capacity-building. In this context, the active participation of the SSC in SESRIC's Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme was highlighted, with 307 professionals from the SSC having benefited from 123 activities organised under the Programme. The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore further avenues for collaboration, including the exchange of expertise and experiences, to support the development of national statistical capacities.
