H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf AL ASFOOR, Minister of Social Development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to discuss opportunities for strengthening cooperation between SESRIC and the Ministry in areas of mutual interest.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on potential joint initiatives in socio-economic research, capacity-building, and training programmes in the field of social development. In this context, H.E. SELÇUK highlighted SESRIC's Social Development Capacity Building Programme (SD-CaB), launched in 2021 to strengthen the institutional and human capacities of relevant national institutions in OIC Member Countries. The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore avenues for further collaboration and exchange of expertise and experiences to support social development efforts across OIC Member Countries.
