H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK participated in the Panel Discussion on the Role of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the Global Halal Industry, held within the framework of the Azerbaijan Halal Business and Tourism (AZHAB) Forum in Baku, Azerbaijan, on 8 October 2026.

During the panel discussion, H.E. SELÇUK highlighted SESRIC's ongoing efforts to promote the development of the Halal industry across OIC Member Countries. She drew attention to the recently launched Halal Capacity Building Programme (Halal-CaB), which aims to strengthen institutional and technical capacities in this important sector. She also emphasised the significant role of SMEs in advancing the Halal industry and the importance of enhancing cooperation, knowledge sharing, and capacity-building initiatives to support sustainable growth and economic opportunities across OIC Member Countries.
