A SESRIC delegation participated in the 27th Meeting of the COMCEC Trade Working Group, held on 14–15 September 2026 in Ankara, Türkiye, under the theme “Developing Effective Trade Financing Tools for Increasing Export in the OIC Member Countries.” The Meeting brought together representatives of OIC Member States and relevant OIC institutions to discuss ways to strengthen trade financing and support export growth.
Participants exchanged national experiences and good practices, examined shared challenges in trade financing, and reviewed the final draft of the research report prepared on the subject.
The two-day Meeting also formulated policy recommendations based on the report’s findings and the discussions held during the Meeting to improve trade financing mechanisms in OIC countries. These will be submitted for consideration at the 42nd COMCEC Ministerial Meeting, scheduled for 31 October–3 November 2026.
