H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Wael Ibrahim Ali Badawi ELSHEIKH, Ambassador of Egypt in Ankara, on 26 August 2026.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between SESRIC and Egypt through research, capacity-building programmes and joint initiatives supporting national institutions in Egypt, as well as on broader collaboration across OIC countries.

The two sides also discussed activities related to celebrating and promoting Cairo as the OIC City of Tourism for 2026, including SESRIC's project on "Strengthening Egypt's Cultural Tourism Destination Brand through Sharing Experiences".

To date, SESRIC has organised over 250 capacity-building activities for the benefit of participants from Egypt.
