SESRIC welcomed a delegation from the African Scientific, Research and Innovation Council (ASRIC) at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara on 18 August 2026.

During the visit, the delegation was informed about the history, structure and mission of the OIC, as well as SESRIC's work in the areas of statistics, research, and training and technical cooperation to support socio-economic development across OIC countries.

The two sides also explored areas of cooperation, including academic exchanges, joint events and projects, with a focus on knowledge sharing and dissemination in statistics, scientific innovation and artificial intelligence (AI).
