H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Mohammad M.S. ALSHABO on 6 August 2026 extending her best wishes for his success in the new role.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between SESRIC and Kuwait, with a focus on capacity building and joint efforts to strengthen relevant national institutions in Kuwait. Over the years, national institutions of Kuwait have benefited from a wide range of SESRIC activities, including training courses, workshops, webinars, meetings and projects held both virtually and in person. To date, SESRIC has organised a total of 130 capacity-building activities for the benefit of the public institutions of Kuwait, bringing together more than 300 Kuwaiti participants.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of SESRIC and the State of Kuwait to further strengthen cooperation in support of sustainable development across OIC Countries.
