SESRIC had the honour of hosting H.E. Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye, at its Headquarters.

 

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk and H.E. Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş exchanged views on strengthening cooperation and coordination between the Ministry and SESRIC in areas of shared priority, including family, women's empowerment, and social services across OIC countries.

 

The meeting also provided an opportunity to highlight Türkiye's vision for advancing the family agenda at the international level. 

 

In this context, Türkiye has declared 2026–2035 as the Decade of Family and Population, underscoring its commitment to strengthening the family institution, promoting demographic sustainability, advancing family-oriented social policies, and fostering regional and international cooperation on family-related issues.
