H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a fruitful meeting with H.E. Mona AL KHALILI, Minister of Women's Affairs of the State of Palestine, on the margins of the 9^th Session of the OIC Ministerial Conference on Women in Islamabad.

No discussion on the advancement and empowerment of women in the OIC can overlook the plight of Palestinian women and girls, particularly in Gaza.

They continue to bear the devastating consequences of the ongoing genocide n through loss of life, forced displacement, destruction of homes and livelihoods, and severely restricted access to food, healthcare, education, and other essential services.

The protection of Palestinian women and girls, the preservation of their dignity and fundamental rights, and the provision of immediate and unhindered humanitarian assistance remain a collective responsibility of the OIC and the international community.

H.E. SELÇUK reaffirmed SESRIC's efforts to support Palestinian women and girls and reiterated SESRIC's continued solidarity with the people of Palestine in their pursuit of justice and peace.

The two sides also exchanged views regarding Palestine's best practices in data collection and the possibility of sharing its experience at the 15th Session of the OIC Statistical Commission.
