SESRIC and the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Signed an MoU to Strengthen Cooperation

SESRIC and the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara. The MoU aims to establish a framework for cooperation and enhance collaboration between the two institutions on matters related to social development.

The agreement will facilitate cooperation on topics related to relevant SDGs through utilising South-South cooperation mechanisms. This includes joint projects and initiatives, as well as research studies on mutually identified subjects.

The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was officially established in 1999 to coordinate women’s development programmes nationwide. It has been mandated to advise the government on a wide range of social issues, including children’s rights, empowerment of persons with disabilities and the elderly.
