SESRIC Participated in the Meetings of the International Forum on TOSSD

Date: 16-18 March 2026
Venue: Paris, France

SESRIC, as a founding member of the Forum, participated in the meetings of the International Forum on Total Official Support for Sustainable Development (TOSSD) held in a hybrid format in Paris, France on 16-18 March 2026. The programme included the 2nd Meeting of the Statistical Working Group on 16-17 March 2026, and the 5th Meeting of the Steering Group on 17-18 March 2026. The Forum meetings brought together members of the Forum to advance methodological and strategic discussions on TOSSD as an international framework for measuring officially supported resources in support of sustainable development.

Discussions during the meetings covered a range of important issues, including the eligibility in TOSSD of core support to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the inclusion of Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) and Balance of Payments (BoP) support in TOSSD, refined guidance on reporting SDG 16-related support, trade support and export credits, the communications and outreach outcomes in 2025 and plans for 2026, as well as the draft IFT Budget and Work Plan 2027-2030.

Through its participation in the regular meetings of the Forum, SESRIC contributes to the ongoing international efforts to improve transparency in development finance, and support the effective measurement of resources provided for sustainable development. SESRIC expressed readiness to continue collaboration and co-organise capacity building activities to improve the coverage and quality of the TOSSD data.

A launch event on  the “Presentation of the 2024 TOSSD figures and the IFT 2025 Annual Report” have been organised on 16 March 2026 on the sidelines of the Forum meetings following a panel discussion titled “TOSSD shaping the future of the international development finance system”.
