SESRIC Participates in the 57th Session of the United Nations Statistical Commission

SESRIC participates in the 57th Session of the United Nations Statistical Commission (UNSC), held on 3-6 March 2026 in New York.

As the highest decision-making body for international statistical activities, the Commission addressed key topics such as national accounts, social and demographic statistics, data governance, and indicators for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The session also featured discussions on emerging trends, methodologies, and frameworks to advance global statistical systems and enhance data-driven decision-making. SESRIC, in its capacity as the Secretariat of the OIC Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom), actively participated in the 57th Session of the UNSC and organised several side events, including discussions on implementing the resolutions of the 14th Session of the OIC-StatCom.
