Webinar on ‘Strategies for Building Resilience in Changing Climate’

Within the framework of its Disaster Risk Management Capacity Building Programme (DRM-CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and the Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH), organised a webinar on “Strategies for Building Resilience in Changing Climate” on 4 March 2026.

The webinar featured expert-led sessions that benefited134 professionals from relevant ministries and institutions across 32 OIC countries.

The Webinar aimed to raise awareness about the impacts of climate change and higlight the importance of strengthening resilience. It explored practical strategies and collaborative approaches for effective climate adaptation, shared international experiences, and discussed methods to integrate resilience into planning and decision-making processes.

The webinar covered the following key topics:

  • Strengthening Early Warning Systems Using Advanced Technologies for Building Resilience in a Changing Climate
  • Mainstreaming Small- and Medium-Scale Renewable Energy for Building Resilience in a Changing Climate
  • Managing Climate Risks: Evidence-Based Resilience Pathways from Pakistan
