Statistical Training Course on ’SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) Indicators’

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC will organise a Statistical Training Course on “SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) Indicators” for the benefit of experts from the National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of the OIC Member Countries on 20-21 January 2026 via an online video conferencing platform. The training course will be organised in collaboration with the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

The course will be delivered by Ms. Rabia AWAN, Deputy Director General, Census Planning, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The main objective of the training course is to enhance the capacities of the participants in the collection, compilation, processing, and dissemination of SDG 3 indicators, while facilitating the sharing of Pakistan’s relevant country experience with the participating OIC Member States.

The training will cover the following topics:

  • Introduction to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • Introduction to SDG 3 targets and indicators
  • Metadata, data sources, and data availability considerations
  • Computation methods for SDG 3 indicators
