SESRIC Participates in the 26th Ordinary Session of the IPHRC

The 26th Ordinary Session of the OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) was held on 14–18 December 2025 in Jeddah.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK delivered a presentation titled “Empowering Youth in the OIC: Evidence, Challenges and the Way Forward,” during the discussion on “Development of Young People in the OIC Member States: Challenges and Opportunities from a Humanitarian Perspective.” 

She highlighted key findings from SESRIC’s forthcoming State of Youth in OIC Member States report. She reaffirmed that youth represent a strategic strength for the OIC, outlining their demographic significance, their contributions to development, and the key challenges that hinder their full participation. It also underscored the importance of creating supportive environments and implementing policies guided by the OIC Youth Strategy to help youth fulfil their potential and contribute fully to their societies.
