SESRIC delivered a presentation entitled “SESRIC’s Efforts in the Domain of Tourism” at the Third Arab Forum on Tourism Statistics in Baghdad, Iraq. The presentation outlined the Centre’s contributions through technical reports, strategic documents, tourism indicators and capacity-building activities.

SESRIC also highlighted that OIC Member Countries recorded approximately 272 million international tourist arrivals in 2024, representing 18% of global arrivals. These figures underscore the growing importance of tourism in the OIC region and the value of strengthening tourism statistics and related capacities.
