SESRIC delegation, led by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, participated in the Official Opening Ceremony of 2025Africa Food Systems Forum Summit, held on 1 September 2025 in Dakar, Senegal.

Under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Senegal H.E. Bassirou Diomaye FAYE, the Summit brought together Heads of State, Ministers, public and private sector leaders, civil society, policymakers, researchers, development partners, farmers and youth champions around the theme “Africa’s Youth Leading Collaboration, Innovation, and Implementation of Agri-Food Systems Transformation.”

The theme of this edition of the Summit indicates the continent's ambitions reflecting the desire of the organisers to place young people at the heart of the African agri-food revolution, as key actors of innovation and change.

Africa’s Food Systems Forum is the world’s premier forum for African agriculture and food systems, bringing together stakeholders to take practical actions and share lessons that will move African food systems forward. Africa Food Systems Forum is designed to energize political will and advance the policies, programs, and investments required to achieve an inclusive and sustainable food systems transformation.
