SESRIC, as the Executing Organ of the Vocational Education and Training Programme for Member Countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-VET), is hosting a series of OIC-VET Consultative Meetings to draft the ten-year OIC TVET Strategic Roadmap 2026-2035.

The first OIC-VET Consultative Meeting was held online in French, on 25 August 2025. It brought together 30 senior representatives from nine Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Authorities and relevant national institutions in French-speaking OIC  countries. Participants discussed key issues related to the TVET Programme, aiming to strengthen collaboration and advance vocational education across the member countries.

The primary objective of this consultative meeting was to explore the emerging challenges and opportunities in the TVET field to identify strategic directions that will shape the new strategic vision of the OIC-VET Programme. The meeting also reviewed the current organisational structure of OIC-VET to enhance the effectiveness and impact of the programme.
