Training Course on ‘Developing an Effective Labour Market Information System (LMIS)’

Within the framework of the OIC Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET) Working Plan 2024-2026 and the Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES-CaB), SESRIC organized a Training Course on “Developing an Effective Labour Market Information System (LMIS)” on 5-6 August 2025, in collaboration with the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills of Morocco (ANAPEC).

The training was delivered by Mr. Yassine Mohamed Boulboul, Head of the Information Systems Development Department at ANAPEC, for the benefit of 97 experts and executives from 13 French-speaking OIC countries.

Specifically conducted for the benefit of Public Employment Services (PES) from French-speaking OIC countries, the training aimed to strengthen participants’ expertise in the design, implementation, and management of Labour Market Information Systems (LMIS).

The training course covered the following topics:

  • Importance and Strategies for Developing an LMIS
  • Key Components of a High-Performing LMIS
  • Data Collection and Reliability – Methods and Challenges
  • Data Analysis and Visualisation – From Raw Data to Decision-Making
  • Building the Right Technological Infrastructure and Ensuring System Interoperability
  • Assessing the Final Impact of LMIS on Businesses, Citizens, and Public Policy
