H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Abdullah EREN, the newly appointed President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), to extend her heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for success in his new role.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the longstanding partnership between SESRIC and TİKA, underscoring their shared commitment to advancing sustainable development across the OIC Countries. They also exchanged views on strengthening institutional collaboration through joint capacity-building initiatives and technical cooperation activities aimed at addressing common development challenges in the OIC region.

H.E. SELÇUK expressed her confidence that the synergy between SESRIC and TİKA will continue to flourish under the leadership of H.E. EREN, fostering impactful development outcomes for the benefit of OIC Countries.

Established in 1992, TİKA was founded to coordinate Türkiye’s development assistance efforts, particularly in newly independent Turkic states in Central Asia and the Caucasus. Initially focused on social, economic, and cultural support to strengthen historical ties, TİKA has since evolved into a leading governmental body implementing Türkiye’s development cooperation policy across a broad geographical scope. Operating through 63 Programme Coordination Offices in 61 countries, TİKA carries out projects in over 170 countries worldwide, spanning education, health, institutional capacity building, technical infrastructure, and humanitarian aid.
